Research shows that what happens in the classroom has the biggest effect on the learning of the individual. Each department develops schemes of work which will cover National Curriculum or exam specification requirements while also stretching and challenging our highly able students. Many departments offer enrichment opportunities to enhance the learning of that subject.

Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning and to develop effective learning strategies.

The progress of students is closely monitored by both classroom teachers and subject leaders in order that additional support can be provided to the individual at an early stage.
