Extending students by introducing topics from the next Key Stage, always being aware that we teach in KS3 because students will be doing KS4 and teaching KS4 as if every student were taking AS-level Maths and teaching in KS5 as if every student were studying Mathematics, or a related subject, in Higher Education. Emphasis on the interconnectedness of the curriculum areas both horizontally and vertically.
Expecting both students and staff to attain the very highest grades at all Key Stages and maintain the highest standards of behaviour. Explicit targets set based on potential, but also on aspiration. Both students and staff made aware of these benchmarks and accountable for them. |
