A level Results 2017

Students at Wallington High School for Girls are celebrating achieving the School’s best ever set of A-level results.

58.5% of all grades were either A* or A with 23.1% of all grades at A, a significant rise from previous years. According to The Times, Wallington High School for Girls was ranked 5th nationally for girls state schools and 20th overall for all state schools.

Four students achieved 4 A* grades, and a further ten students got 3A*s (4 of them with A*A*A*A). Sixty three students achieved all A*/A grades. These results meant that the vast majority of Year 13 students got a place at their first choice university and 13 of the 14 offers from Oxbridge were achieved.

Richard Booth, Headteacher, said “We are absolutely delighted for all our students who will now go on to study at the top universities of their choice. Their results are down to the enormous amount of hard work they have put in alongside the support and dedication of the staff, not forgetting the very important part that our parents play as well. Well done to everyone!”
