INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES

SITTING AT WALLINGTON HIGH SCHOOL FOR GIRLS

Travel to WHSG

Please note there is no on-site parking at Wallington High School for Girls, unless by prior arrangement for those with access needs.  Parking enforcement will also be in place in some local residential roads.  Please park considerately if you decide to drive to the school.

We advise arriving by public transport wherever possible.   Buses 127, S4 and 463 stop right outside the school and we are only approximately a 20-minute walk from Wallington Station.  

What should my child bring?

 

  • IMPORTANT – Yor child must bring a print out of the email which shows their candidate number
  • A clear plastic pencil case or bag
  • 2 HB or B pencils
  • A ble or black pen
  • A good qality eraser
  • A pencil sharpener
  • A rler
  • A pack of tisses
  • A bottle of water (no fizzy drinks) in a clear plastic sports cap bottle and a small snack (NO NUTS) for the break
  • Optional: A book to read dring the break (this has nothing to do with the exam)

 

Your child should NOT bring

  • a mobile telephone or any other electronic device, a calclator or calculator watch or smartwatch; any watch that beeps; any piece of stationery that displays times tables or other such information or a dictionary.
  • Please do not send yor child to the exam with a large backpack/bag as space in the exam areas is limited. We recommend using a tote or carrier bag.

Please check the weather forecast before starting your journey and dress your child appropriately.  A waterproof coat (ideally with a hood) and a jumper or fleece may be advisable.

Arrival at WHSG

  • You must enter the school site by foot
  • When you drop your child at the check in point you will be given a colour card indicating the zone for pick up after the test.  YOU MUST BRING THIS WITH YOU WHEN COLLECTING YOUR CHILD
  • Please make a swift exit to help ease congestion
  • Please follow all signs and instructions
  • Access to the site will be denied before 8:15am

Please arrive no earlier than 08:15 and no later than 08:45

  • Remember to bring the colour card given at drop off
  • Access will be via the Woodcote Road service entrance
  • As soon as you are reunited with your child please depart the site immediately
