Year 7 Sept 2024 entry

Applications for students to sit the Selective Entrance Exam to join in our year 7 in September 2024 are now closed.

The registration system will closed on the 4th August 2023. After this date you will not be able to register your child to take the Selective Eligibility Test and as such would not be eligible to join WHSG in Year 7 in September 2024

The Selective Eligibility Test for 2024 entry will take place on Tuesday 12th September 2023. Candidates who successfully pass the SET will be invited back to sit the Nonsuch and Wallington Second Stage Entrance Examination (NWSSEE) on Saturday 30th September 2023.

Results for SET 2024 entry are now out. If you have checked ALL inboxes and folders in your email inbox including spam, junk and important and have still not received your results email, please follow the instructions below. 

Please email set2024entry@suttongrammar.sutton.sch.uk with the words RESULTS NOT RECEIVED in the title. If you email multiple times, it will delay our response to your request. 

Please put your child's full name, with SURNAME IN CAPS, date of birth and exam day number. WE DO NOT NEED ANY MORE INFORMATION THAN THIS. 

IMPORTANT:  You must email from the email address you registered with or include it as a cc in your email for safeguarding purposes. 

Please DO NOT call any of the schools, as they will be unable to assist you. 

The NWSSEE, which comprises two tests: one in Mathematics and one in English, neither of which is multiple choice. The Second Stage Entrance Examination for Wallington High School for Girls is the 30th September 2023.

WHSG NWSSEE FAQ's 2024 entry

Our entrance test is broadly based on the KS2 curriculum and we do not consider it to be necessary for children to be tutored in order to gain access to the entrance test. We never allow 11+ tutoring companies in our schools.

Students that have successfully passed the entrance exam (SET and NWSSEE) will be eligible to select Wallington High School for Girls as one of their preferred secondary schools on the Common Application form (CAF). The deadline to submit this application form is the 31st October 2023
