Year 7 Sept 2024 entry
Applications for year 7 entry in September 2024 will open on 1st May 2023 when parents/carers will be able to register students to sit the Selective Eligibility Test (SET) via our website. Applicants should be registered for this when they are in the summer term of Year 5.
The registration system will close on the 4th August 2023. After this date you will not be able to register your child to take the Selective Eligibility Test and as such would not be eligible to join WHSG in Year 7 in September 2024
The Selective Eligibility Test for 2024 entry will take place on Tuesday 12 September 2023. Candidates who successfully pass the SET will be invited back to sit the Nonsuch and Wallington Second Stage Entrance Examination (NWSSEE) in late September/early October.
The SET comprises two multiple choice tests: a Mathematics test and an English test. Those students who achieve at least the minimum qualifying threshold in the SET will be invited back to sit the NWSSEE, which comprises two tests: one in Mathematics and one in English, neither of which is multiple choice. The Second Stage Entrance Examination for Wallington High School for Girls is the 30th September 2023.
Please see the following links for more information on the SET or NWSSEE
Our entrance test is broadly based on the KS2 curriculum and we do not consider it to be necessary for children to be tutored in order to gain access to the entrance test. We never allow 11+ tutoring companies in our schools.
Students that have successfully passed the entrance exam (SET and NWSSEE) will be eligible to select Wallington High School for Girls as one of their preferred secondary schools on the Common Application form (CAF). The deadline to submit this application form is the 31st October 2023
The Open Day for 2023 is scheduled for 6th July 2023. More information will be published closer to this event.
